Store integration with Facebook Pixel

What is Facebook Pixel?

A Facebook pixel is a piece of code that tells you how many users visited your website, added an offer to their cart, or viewed a purchased voucher. It is an intelligent system that will allow you to know your audience, their preferences and behaviors.

How to use this information?

With such information you can skillfully match advertising to the recipient. You are able to target your ads to a group of people whose behaviors are familiar to you. You can penetrate and analyze how users respond to displayed content and match it even more effectively.

For example, if you run a store where you sell tickets, you would probably like to know how many people added your tickets to the cart but did not proceed to the checkout process. Thanks to this, you can reach such customers by displaying the appropriate advertisement, which will remind them to finalize the purchase.

Standard and Custom Events

When your customer takes an action on a website, such as adding a ticket to a shopping cart or visiting a website, then the pixel records that action as”event”. All thanks to a short event code added to the basic pixel code.

What events are recorded?

  • The customer sees the offer of the store.
  • The customer uses the button to add a ticket to the cart.
  • The customer starts the payment procedure using the “Proceed to payment” button.
  • The customer sees the generated ticket after payment.

How do I launch Pixel in my store?

1. In your Ad Manager, select the “pixels” option.

2. Create a pixel.

3. Install the generated code snippet on your site. You have several options to choose from. You can do this directly by copying and pasting the text into the source code of your page. It is also possible to take advantage of Google Tag Manager or a special plugin if you use the WordPress platform.

4. Check if the code works correctly, for this purpose use the free Facebook Pixel Helper plugin. You can download it from this page Facebook Pixel Helper. If, when visiting your online store, you see a green number next to the icon, then the pixel was installed correctly. When testing Pixel, it's a good idea to disable AdBlock, as it can block sending events.

5. If the current terms of cooperation with Droplabs include integration with Facebook Pixel, then to enable it, simply go to the Droplabs Panel to Object Settings and mark Facebook Pixel. This will give you access to additional data about the activity on your website, such as the number of people who added the service to the cart, started the payment procedure or made a purchase.
