Implementation of the online sales system in the Rogalowy Museum of Poznań
Selling tickets via the Internet is not only an additional sales channel, but also a way to optimize the work of the attraction team both in terms of customer service and in the case of settlements and analysis. There is nothing better than a practical example. That is why, using the example of the Rogalowy Museum of Poznań, we decided to present exactly how Droplabs works.
A few words about the Rogalowy Museum of Poznań
The Rogalowe Museum of Poznań is not an ordinary museum. This is a unique place where you will not only get to know the culture and tradition of the beautiful city, but also become part of it. It is here, in an atmospheric atmosphere, that you can take part in live shows and learn how to make famous and tasty St. Martin croissants.
The Museum has been cooperating with Droplabs since 2021, using, among other things, the opportunity to sell on the attraction's website, an additional incentive to buy an online ticket in the form of a floating button, as well as many other functionalities. It is also worth noting that in terms of online sales and increasing the visibility of Rogalowe Muzeum Poznań, it is supported by Droplabs partner — Tickeo.

We talked about the implementation of online sales and its impact on the functioning of this beautiful museum with Mr. Szymon Walter, co-founder of the Rogal Museum of Poznań.
Getting in touch and getting a first impression of the systemyep
Why did you decide to implement online sales in your attraction?
The main reason for the search for an online ticket pre-sale solution was the increasing overload of traditional booking channels.
The second significant factor was late cancellations or lack of attendance at the attraction by customers, which resulted in costly and unnecessary non-use of places in the attraction.
After the implementation, we ourselves were surprised at the pace and scale at which online sales replaced sales at the box office.
What aspects of the museum's functioning would you like to improve by implementing an online sales channel?
The online sales system, in addition to automating a large part of the transactions of individual customers, has another important advantage — it provides the most up-to-date information on the availability of seats on the date chosen by the interested user.
Why did you choose Droplabs?
Droplabs is a fairly simple system to implement and intuitive to administer. It does not require additional devices, servers or hardware. It has quite a considerable, but not overwhelming, number of practical parameters to set, and at the same time all current operation can be carried out comfortably even from a mobile phone.
The store itself is readable and transparent for users, and at the same time reliably fits into the website of the attraction.
How was the process of implementing the online ticketing system?
The implementation of Droplabs went smoothly, although it is worth reserving a sufficient amount of time for it. The Droplabs team not only helped us in the preparation of a large part of the elements and descriptions, but also supported us in introducing technical changes resulting from online sales on the website.
During the implementation, we also managed to develop a special solution for accepting advances from organized groups, which shows great flexibility, openness, but above all sincere desire for the system to work as best and as fully as possible.

System Functionality
As part of your offer, you use tickets with a choice of day and time, as well as ticket price variants. What other functions have found their application in your country?
The system in an uncomplicated way covers all variants of our offer (types of shows, language versions) and the start times of the show.
However, there is one non-standard element — group bookings. Here it was possible to develop and apply a model that allows the group to pay a predefined advance amount in a simple way (just click on the link).
The option of additional questions to the customer when buying tickets was also very useful, for example, in the context of the pandemic about the number of people vaccinated or giving booking codes for groups.

Sales
What is the ratio between online and offline sales today?
Online sales are already the majority of our transactions (depending on the day — from 50% to up to 90%). However, it is difficult to assess the impact of the system on the change in sales, especially since it was implemented during the pandemic. However, it certainly makes it very functional both from the tourist attraction and from the customer's side.
Access Control
Droplabs offers several ways to control access, such as scanner, app, search engine, as well as gateway integrations. Which one suits your property best?
For ticket control, mid-range mobile phones are good, in fact, it is enough that they are based on Android and everything works within the application provided by Droplabs.

Customer service
How has Droplabs affected customer service?
This is by far the biggest benefit of implementing the system. The team greatly appreciates the reduction in the number of operations related to the daily sales service. This applies both to the reception of reservations (so far telephones and emails) and to the sale of tickets at the Museum box office. The time saved translates into more opportunities to serve organized groups or more efficient service when entering and releasing, and for guests there are no queues and shorter waiting time for entry.
At the same time, the system is simple enough to use that after just a few days the team moves smoothly in it. An hour of training is enough. There are also no problems with loading, interruptions in availability - since when we use it, it works smoothly, does not hang - in a word, we feel safe and comfortable with it.
The system at a glance allows you to assess the occupancy of the shows, and thus to plan the work well during the day. If necessary, we can add or reduce the number of available seats.

Something to sum up
Are there other aspects that have been affected by the implementation of the Droplabs system?
The implementation of the online ticketing system has brought another unexpected, but very important benefit. Customers planning a visit have a preview of the current availability of seats at the shows and choose the available times themselves. Thanks to this, the tourist traffic that has accumulated so far around the south is distributed “alone” much better during the rest of the day. There are much fewer guests who do not get to the shows (which is not pleasant for both parties), the team has a much more even daily schedule and works more calmly.
In conclusion, would you like to add anything else about our cooperation?
We definitely and immediately felt the benefits of introducing an online sales system, so we recommend it to anyone undecided, especially for organizations where the number of places is limited.
Based on our experience, we can conclude that customers are extremely ready for such a solution and even value the confidence and convenience of buying at a convenient time for them. When they come with purchased tickets, they do not risk a lack of seats, do not wait in queues and have a positive experience from the very entrance.
In the organization, the organization of work has improved significantly, there is a lower pace, a better distribution of customers during the day, a higher quality of service.
We are also very pleased that we decided specifically to implement the Droplabs system, which turned out to be very well thought out, simple to use, and at the same time meets most of the requirements. Special thanks to the Droplabs team for their very comprehensive approach and commitment to the implementation!
We thank Mr. Szymon for this conversation, and to the Rogalow Museum of Poznań for the pleasant and fruitful cooperation for both sides!
