Scanning of tickets from the Panel and managing the email address for the invoice
A new one is coming! We would like to share as many as two new features of the Droplabs system. The ability to scan tickets directly from the Panel and the management of the email address to receive invoices are the answer to the suggestions of our customers. More about them later in the article...
Scanning of inputs from the Panel
You now have even more opportunities to verify tickets at the entrance to your attraction. In addition to searching by a number of parameters (e.g. order or ticket number, email, customer name, etc.) you can also scan tickets directly from the Panel.
“We already have some additional possibilities in our plans, but to start we wanted to facilitate the work of those customers who have stationary access control points and work primarily on computers, using scanners connected via USB or built-in cameras,” explains Piotr Pyznarski, CTO of Droplabs.
However, scanning is not limited to handheld scanners or cameras. The API allows you to integrate other dedicated scanning devices, such as stand-alone scanners or gateways.
At the same time, this solution does not require additional technical expenses — just a modern browser is enough. In practice — if you are able to open our Panel, you will be able to use this function without any problems. It is only worth noting that in order to scan with a camera, you need to give your consent for the browser and our site to have access to the camera. As a rule, the browser automatically displays the corresponding system window asking for permission to access.

“Firstly, it is possible to connect a scanner to the computer to read the QR codes that are on each of our tickets, which definitely improves the service of even a considerable number of people. The process itself is carried out very efficiently, namely, it is enough for the customer to base the ticket under the scanner - in paper version or on the display of his phone - and the employee who operates the entry point will automatically be shown the most important information.
Secondly, this solution also works in the case when you can get to the attraction through different entrances. The application and the Panel can be operated simultaneously on several devices, which significantly increases the number of visitors that our customers are able to let into the area of their attraction,” explains Michał Piecyk, Customer Success Specialist at Droplabs.
And finally, it is also worth mentioning the price. The application for checking tickets is available in each of the packages: only in the “Start” plan it is paid additionally, and in the other available variants it is included in the subscription price.
Manage your email address to receive invoice inquiries
Not all the functions that we complement our system with are large, but each of them is also important. One such “small but powerful” feature is precisely the ability to manage your email address to receive invoice inquiries.
“One of our clients pointed out a specific problem — it was both image and organizational issues. There are cases when one entity maintains several objects with separate accounting departments. We wanted to make it easier for buyers to apply to the right facility. A direct benefit for customers is that now such requests will be received immediately by the person dealing with invoices in a given facility, and not “central accounting”, who had to spend extra time to transfer requests to the appropriate places,” says Piotr.
Currently, an email for invoice requests is assigned to the facility. If it is not manually changed, the system will automatically use the contact address provided for the entire company. Changing the address can be conveniently done by editing the settings of the given object.
