There are many strategies for increasing the sale of tickets to a tourist attraction or tickets to an entertainment facility. In tourist areas, such as Podhale and the Tatras, competition is high, which is why a large part of promotional activities can be associated with a huge cost. What is the best way to approach sales? The answer is simple — selling through partners. Such partners can become establishments operating in the tourism industry, but they are not direct competition, such as various types of accommodation facilities: hotels, guesthouses, aparthotels, etc.

The sale of attraction services by business partners is a solution that will bring profit to each of the parties: the attraction will increase sales, and the hotel will increase with its own offer and get an additional source of income.

Aparthotel Gievont Boutique is located among the picturesque Tatra nature in Zakopane and has been welcoming guests since 2020. At the disposal of the hotel guests are unique suites, which are a perfect combination of modernity and tradition, as well as a SPA area, a private pool and a restaurant. It is also worth noting that the Droplabs system has been used in this facility from the very beginning of its operation.

Beginnings with Droplabs and impressions of the system

Why did you decide to recommend the services of tourist attractions in the area?

There are many tourist attractions in Zakopane and the surrounding area, however, not all tourists are aware of this. Unfortunately, the feeling that Podhale is only Tatras, Gubałówka and Krupówki has taken root very strongly.

Recommending attractions in an accommodation facility is not only a profit for these attractions, but also for the property. Then the guest can find out about all the advantages of the area directly from the receptionist, and the additional sale of entrance tickets is another convenience that only encourages to take advantage of the offer.

Talking about the attractions and opportunities for excursions in the area, the guest feels individual support from the hotel. He is also sure that the crew cares about his well-being and that he can take advantage of his vacation 100%, see as much as possible. In addition, often at a lower price than if he made the purchase on his own.

How was the partnership with Droplabs established? Why did you decide to use this system?

The cooperation was established immediately after the start of operations as Aparthotel Gievont Boutique in 2020. The manager of our aparthotel had previously dealt with Droplabs on another project. He liked the operation of the system very much and wanted to continue cooperation also in the new facility.

What are the advantages of selling through Droplabs compared to other attraction referral partnerships?

Transparency, rules and rules for using the ticket are in one place, as well as simple and convenient calculation and settlement. We also boast the ability to send a ticket directly to the guest's email without having to download a file and cooperation with several objects from a single panel.

Promotion, sales and customer interest

How do you inform customers about the possibility of buying tickets to attractions?

Information can be found on our social media, on the website of the facility, in the e-mail with the offer, on booking portals (e.g. vouchers on slevomat.cz and zlavomat.sk). In addition, we inform guests about the offer of partner attractions during check-in and in the welcome sms.

Do hotel guests like to take advantage of recommendations from the reception about attractions in the area?

For the most part, guests are open to receiving instructions from the reception. After the pandemic, the trend regarding the length of stay in the area has changed - stays usually cover 2-3 days. This is a shorter time than before the pandemic, so often guests do not have time to take advantage of more than one attraction.

Are tickets sold only to hotel guests?

Absolutely not! There is also a restaurant in the reception building, where customers often ask about attractions in the area and the possibility of buying tickets. Many times tickets were also sold to tourists “from the street”.

What attractions are you currently working with through Droplabs?

Currently, through Droplabs, we sell tickets for objects with water attractions, such as Chochołowskie Termy and Aquapark Zakopane.

How did the system implementation process look like? Is it convenient for the team to work with the B2B panel?

The system was implemented by a manager who already had previous experience with it, therefore the process was simple and fast. Due to its simplicity, new employees do not have much trouble familiarizing themselves with its operation and learning how to use Droplabs.
