Increase lead time - Dynamic Pricing Droplabs in Tatra National Park (Tatrzański Park Narodowy)
Tatra National Park - Tatrzański Park Narodowy (TPN) in 2023, as the first tourist facility in Poland decided to implement Dynamic Pricing in the parking lot Palenica Białczanska. This decision was an innovative answer to the problem related to the specificity of this object. Since the parking lot as well as the road leading to the parking lot has rigidly defined bandwidth, tourists heading to this place and not having a pre-purchased ticket unnecessarily increase traffic and slow down the service of tourists who have booked a place in advance.
The Tatra National Park team was therefore looking for a solution on how to make tourists start buying parking tickets in advance in a larger percentage.
For more than two years with Dynamic Pricing Droplabs, Tatra National Park has been constantly sets new goals and pursues them consistently.
Effects?
- In the 2024 holiday, 77% of cars had a ticket purchased at least one day in advance.
- In the 2024 holiday, 33% of cars had a ticket purchased at least three days in advance.
- The share of the online channel for parking tickets was 87% in the 2024 holidays!

Recommendation of cooperation
Tatra National Park has been cooperating with Droplabs Sp. z o.o. since May 2020.
We use the Droplabs system to an extensive extent - we sell tickets to the National Park, to car parks and to the Nature Education Center, where the annual volume handled by the system is several hundred thousand tickets.
A particular challenge for us was the effective sale of parking spaces at the beginning of the Morskie Oko trail. The number of seats is limited, and the traffic of tourists without tickets purchased in advance blocks the road. The Droplabs platform allowed us to conduct multi-channel sales, both online and stationary, while maintaining the consistency of the available number of seats between the channels. The system provides us with access to integration, thanks to which we can combine all the necessary elements such as, for example, mobile sales.
A big challenge for us was also the effective sale of entrance tickets as well as parking tickets for smaller parking lots, when there are no agents conducting stationary sales at the given points. The solution proposed by Droplabs based on the sale by QR codes dedicated to each point, thanks to its simplicity and reliability on all devices used by tourists, ensures high collection of fees for the provision of the Park or parking.
Moreover, thanks to the innovative solution of dynamic pricing policies, we manage to get more tourists to buy parking tickets in advance.
Thanks to these features, we also achieve a more even distribution of tourist traffic, which allows us to reduce the burden on our staff and better prepare for the service of tourists on a given day. A significant side effect of using dynamic prices from the Droplabs panel for parking tickets is also obtaining up to 20-30% more income on the statutory activity of the Park while serving the same number of tourists.
Very good communication with Droplabs and its employees helps us in the day-to-day operation of the system, but also allows us to be part of the system development process with the needs we report.
We recommend the Droplabs ticketing system, as it meets all our requirements and provides innovative solutions on the market that contribute to our growth in the area of ticket sales.
